Our team consists of highly qualified and motivated professionals, who are all experts in their field and practising in Birmingham over 19 years. 

Subu Subramonian

Mr.Subramonian established Birmingham Urology clinic in 2005. Over the years, clinic has attracted tertiary referrals of complex cases from all around West Midlands and outside.
Mr.Subramonian is the Regional specialist in Stone disease and benign kidney problems and sees patients with complex kidney problems referred from around the region and abroad. He is a well recognised national expert in keyhole surgery for stones and has lectured in both national and international meetings.
He is Vice Chair of Endourology Subsection of British Association of Urological Surgeons. He has published several papers in the field and has trained many stone surgeons in the UK and abroad through a Fellowship programme.

Graham Lipkin

Dr.Lipkin is a Senior Consultant Nephrologist. His special interest is in renal transplantation with a focus on live donor renal transplantation. From the medical perspective he has overseen the development of Live Donor Kidney transplant program at UHBFT to a very high quality level. His research was in the area of transplant immunosuppression and has published widely in this area. At present he is working with the UK Department of Health in a project to improve outcomes of Young Adults following transplantation and transfer from Children’s environment. 
Dr Lipkin leads through the International society of Nephrology, the twinning of UHBFT with a developing centre in Africa. He Chairs the British Renal Association Clinical Affairs Committee and leads the Regional Transplant Network.

Dr.Paul Crowe

Dr. Paul Crowe is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist based in Birmingham, UK.

He has special interests in vascular and urological radiology and uterine artery embolisation for fibroids. He undertakes ultrasound, CT and MRI scanning as well as a wide range of minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures for both NHS and private patients.

Dr. Crowe attended Trinity College Medical School in Dublin, graduating in 1988. After medical jobs in Dublin, Manchester and the Middle East he undertook 5 years of specialist training in Radiology in Birmingham followed by further sub speciality training in Interventional Radiology. He has been a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, a large university teaching hospital, since May 1998.
