Mr Subramonian undertook his basic Urological training and research in West Yorkshire, followed by Higher Surgical training in London. He underwent special training in endoscopic surgery for stone disease and laparoscopic surgery at King's College, London and St. George's Hospital. He also spent some time in the Cleveland clinic and John Hopkin's Hospital in America on a travelling scholarship from the British Urological Foundation. Here, he learnt minimally invasive surgical skills before joining University Hospital Birmingham as Consultant Urological Surgeon. He established a regional treatment service for Kidney stones which caters to complex stone disease patients referred from the entire West Midlands. His special expertise is in performing keyhole surgery and laser treatment for stones. He has performed over 320 keyhole procedures for stones and more than 1500 laser operations. His other area of expertise is in performing Laparoscopic (Keyhole) surgery for benign conditions of the kidney (Laparoscopic Nephrectomy and Pyelolasty)

Mr.Subramonian will provide specialist treatment services for patients suffering from Kidney stones at BMI Priory Hospital in Edgbaston and Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull.
